ePortfolio is a type of collection, as is a weblog, a mailing list, or a newsgroup. The services provided by such a collection are to provide deposit, posting, authorization, personalization and syndication facilities (amongst other things). So, instead this should modified into a collection type pattern that provides a range of services to support a complex process.
