In response to XCRI partners' comments about the suitability of CDM for UK need, some prototype XML has been drafted that attempts to frame the excellent efforts of our Norwegian colleagues within some extended Dublin Core metadata. Details of the rationale for this can be found in my project manager blog, which also contains links to the prototype XML: Specification_v0h.xml and Offering_v0d.xml. This is still a very rough cut: schemas and namespaces have not been addressed at this stage; the XML is offered to demonstrate direction and potential. With that in mind, your comments are sought now on the extent to which this approach would meet with UK need, and suggestions for how it could be improved. Please post all your comments to this list so colleagues can be inspired by your contributions. Many thanks, Mark.
